CNN has unveiled a new reporting team for the White House and Capitol Hill ahead of a new Trump administration and a change of control in Congress.

Kaitlan Collins will continue to host the 9 p.m. program The Source with Kaitlan Collins,while also reporting from theWhite Houseon President-elect Trumps second administration. And Kristen Holmeshas been named senior White House correspondent after covering on the recent Trump-Vance campaign for the presidency.

Alayna Treenehas been named CNNreporter to cover the White House after also covering Trumps 2024 campaign. And CNN chief national affairs CorrespondentJeff Zelenywill alsoreport from the White House after Trump spent much of his first presidency disparaging the 24-hour cable news channel, and has now regained the White House. Newsrooms at all the major networks have had to rethink their strategies and rejig their reporting teams to remain relevant as ratings for broadcasters and cable news channels remain volatile in the wake of Trump regaining the presidency.

So CNN, mindful of key issues in the minds of Americans, has tapped CNN anchor and chief domestic correspondentPhil Mattinglyto focus his coverage on the American economy, while correspondentPriscilla Alvarezwill report mainly on immigration, a topic she has covered since 2019.

In other changes, Kevin Liptakwill serve as CNNs senior White House reporter, Betsy Kleinwill be CNNs senior White Houseproducer, and CNN anchor and chief Congressional correspondentManu Rajuwill continue covering Capitol Hill.

Rounding out CNNs White House and Capitol Hill reporting teams will be Lauren Foxas Congressional correspondent, and Annie GrayerandSarah Ferrisserving as Congressional reporters.
